I’m Junita Duwi Purwandari, currently serving as the Head of the English Literature Study Program atUAG University.
Experience
My passion for education and language studies led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Education from The University of Auckland, New Zealand, which I completed in 2022. My doctoral research delved into the dynamic world of oral feedback in English language learning, exploring how teachers' and students' beliefs and practices shape effective communication in the classroom.
Before earning my Ph.D., I completed my Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL in 2015, where my dissertation focused on leveraging oral feedback to foster learning opportunities and encourage student participation.
My professional journey spans both academia and practical language services. I have had the privilege of working as a Lecturer at a leading public university in Jakarta, guiding students to develop their linguistic and critical thinking skills. Beyond teaching, I’m a professional proofreader, AI trainer, and language consultant for BNPB (The National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure), where I contribute to effective communication strategies for national resilience initiatives.
With a strong foundation in linguistics, research, and real-world application, I’m passionate about fostering impactful learning environments and driving innovation in education. I thrive on exploring how language can empower individuals and connect communities, and I am always open to meaningful collaborations that promote educational excellence and global communication."
